HUMILITY

Again starting from a story.
once three friends who spent their life in good deeds, constantly remembering God and remembering always to thanks HIM for whatever good came their way, praying constantly..died together.

when they reached heavenly abode, they were sure that due to their good life and behaviour they will get admittence inside the father's abode...

but when they reached there they saw a very long line outside. they stood last in the que , patiently waiting their turn. but to their surprise and horror they saw souls going inside happily and immediately kicked out again, turned away from the heavenly abode. they were skeptical . till their turn came they saw each soul being turned away, not being given admittence inside. they were secretly feeling pleased thinking that those poor souls must not have lived their life as per FATHER'S expectations. but feeling sure they did!!!!

their turn came. first friend went inside and saw GOD ..their FATHER. wow!! what a site to behold. HE asked -- so son, r u ready to reap the fruits of ur life? he replied ..oh!! yes, father i m ready to taste the fruits of my life lived according to good deeds, u like. and live here inside my FATHER'S home. but to his horror and surprise he too was immediately kicked out. second friend went inside. same quetion was asked from him and he replied similiarly..with confidence that he did nothing wrong and he..will surely gain admittence. but he too was kicked out. last friend went inside..scared now...

GOD asked him the same question.

he immediately fell down on his knees... and started weeping...

he said..oh!! no FATHER i m not ready for this. coz if i say yes, i'll then have to be ready for all those times when i did wrongs too. i m ungrateful son of urs, and i have done so many mistakes. but u r my FATHER, all i request u to plz forgive me and don't put me out of ur presense . coz i can't live without ur love. thy will be done..but just forgive me enuf to let me be with u.



GOD got up from HIS seat and HIMSELF came forward and embraced HIS returning home son....



MASTER said ---- ON HUMILITY...



A DEVOTEE SHUD NOT WASTE TIME DWELLING ON THE CHARACTER OF OTHERS, NOR FINDING FAULT WITH THEM. INSTEAD HE SHUD LOOK WITHIN HIMSELF AND REALISE HIS OWN SHORTCOMINGS.



WHY SHUD I JUDGE OTHER’S MERIT OR FAULTS;


AM I IN ANY WAY FREE FROM THEM?






WHY SHUD I ASSESS OTHER’S VIRTUE AND VICE;


IN WHAT WAY R MY ACTS DIFFERENT FROM THEIRS?






WHY SHUD I DWELL ON OTHER’S MALICE AND RANCHOR;


I HAVE EVEN MORE OF THOSE FAILINGS IN ME.






THERE IS NONE AS DECIETFUL AND LAX AS I;


I HAVE YET TO SEE SUCH A ONE WITH MY OWN EYES.






I HAVE VICES IN ABUNDANCE, SAYS TUKA,


YET I SURRENDER MY HEART AT THY FEET, O LORD.

We don't have any right to judge anyone. coz our views are very limited. our perspectives are bound by our limited views and prejudices. but HE from above can see the whole picture. why a certain person behaves in a certain way towards us. only HE can see the complete story.

There is a famous story about a woman being killed as a punishment for her sins by being stoned to death. everyone was cheerfully throwing stones at her. When one wise man came and said- let the one who is completely pure and has done no sin in whole his/ her life pick and throw the first stone. at this no one could come forward. Why?
coz inside us we all know how much pure we are. so how can we judge others??

A MAN WENT TO WAHAB IMRI AND SAID—TEACH ME HUMILITY?


WAHAB ANSWERED-


I CANNOT DO THAT, COZ HUMILITY IS A TEACHER OF ITSELF. IT’S LEARNT BY MEANS OF IT’S PRACTICE. IF U CANNOT PRACTISE IT, U CANNOT LEARN IT. IF U CANNOT LEARN IT, U DO NOT REALLY WANT TO LEARN IT AT ALL.



A Prayer For HUMILITY

Because the first must be the last


And only little ones can pass


Beyond the gate--narrow and small


Where God is waiting for us all.






Jesus, lift my spirit up


I raise to You my empty cup


As I approach the narrow way

MASTER USED TO FONDLY QUOTE---



we are proud beggers, HE is humble giver.



to learn humility..we have biggest example in OUR MASTER.

the king of all existence....how humble HE is...

if we love HIM how can we then not be humble? when OUR SATGURU is our ideal?

but then MASTER also used to say---

Calculated humility is like costume jewellary.



so we have to beware that our humility should come from deep, within our hearts and soul..with the aim that each and every soul is OUR GOD'S creation, and desreves our love and honour. and that we being humble to other souls r just giving respect to OUR MASTER. this will make us really humble and help us in loving everyone as HIS children. will help us overcome EGO.



MASTER  gave emphasis to our becoming better humans ... by being humble...we have to learn to become good humans first. only then we can call our selves as HIS[ GOD's] children.

HE is our father. and father should not feel ashamed of HIS children's bad behaviour.
pehle hum khud ko to sudhare...

SIMPLICITY

While satsangs of any perfect MASTER, we come across many simple human beings. They are poor and very simple in mind. If we ask them anything they can’t reply. They don’t even have this much IQ level. And we wonder how they came to know about dera and MASTER.


But as soon as MASTER arrives their blank faces will transform. Their eyes shine with complete love and happiness. It seems really remarkable that simpleminded people like them can grasp the significance of MASTER and HIS presence. They will sit with their hands folded and enraptured, their eyes never wander anywhere else from HIS face.

They teach us how to really do darshan.


And they r so much more blessed then people who have intellectual levels, good family and good living. Even though they r simple and poor. Surprised????

Here is why i feel so. MASTER loves them too much. Can’t say more. Coz i believe HE loves everyone equally. But these r special souls. It’s as if due to their good karmas they r given this special treatment in this life and been given this simplicity and poor life.


Their minds don’t generate thoughts like us. Since they r not intellectually strong. What a blessing… their soul and mind is full of complete love and faith for their MASTER, they understand only one thing. That HE is God and God has asked them to do meditation. And so they don’t waste time in gaining more knowledge, spending time in discussions about MASTER, or HIS latest satsang or visits. They do their daily work and sit down to do what God has asked them to do. And since their mind is empty of thoughts [ they have less of I ness ] and full of love they reach the eye…. More sooner.

So isn’t their birth more better then people who lives in gala houses and have gala lifestyle. And they complain of having no time for meditation and then yet complain that they don’t have more in life.

MASTER often says…be simple. It’s so simple to be simple.

Live simply. Next time to acquire the habit of simplicity just sacrifice things that come as hindrance in our meditation. Be it an extra hour chatting with gossiping neighbour, watching another soap opera on TV. Or chatting on internet. They drain precious energy. Keep our life as much simple as possible. And then see the results.

Those simple people r truly the blessed one. For they reach simply...where we strive hard to reach. thru their simple love and single minded devotion to their God.
