And any of us can do that. That's a birthright of every soul. But each one of us is so busy with our own worldly attachments that we have no idea about this open invitation from GOD/MASTER HIMSELF.
Imagine a ethereal ambiance. Imagine a seating arrangements floating in air. With ambrosia of many unusual colored lights, surrounding the atmosphere. Imagine the rivers of rainbows, and fountains of translucent lights. Imagine a divine melody intoxicating the soul, playing just for our benefit, Imagine HIM sitting just across, or beside. ( well choose ur own preference. :) i for one prefer across, since that grants better uninterrupted view. ) HIS loving presence and complete attention on just us. Who cares what is there to eat. :) It's enough that HE is with me !! :)
Not many of us can resist this temptation ... :) can we ??
Well, invitation is forever open, it's just on us, when will we avail the opportunity. In this birth, many more births after, in this year, another 30 or 40 years after, or just at this very present moment itself. :) Time is perception only for us. May be from HIS point of view, we are already having this dinner with HIM. Since from above.... time is a limitation in our dream zone.
Anyways. So how do we do it. How do we set about availing the invitation ?
BUILD A RELATIONSHIP :)
Well, agreed that only HE exists. Agreed that nothing else exists....
BULLA asaan thi wakh nahi, bin SHAH dooja kakh nahi...
As BULLEHSHAH ji says... we don't understand this much.. that apart from HIM nothing else exists. But since we don't have those eyes which can behold HIS glory, we are doomed to not only think ourselves apart from HIM, but feel the pain of HIS separation.
But at some point this duality becomes a blessing. For ages and aeons we have been facing this duality as separate existence. And facing it's dual energies in form of pain with happiness, death with birth, separation with unions, and so on....
But now with the last stage of separate existence this duality becomes a gift, where we can enjoy... a RENDEZVOUS with HIM....
It's said... JAAKI RAHI BAWNA JAISE PRABHU SURAT DEKHI TIN TAISE......
We can build any type of relation with HIM. It's what in the heart that matters. How ever we call HIM, HE responds in similar fashion. After all it's HIM who is enjoying these myriads of relations with HIMSELF. :)
So first take a pick....
There's a huge menu card of choices- Father, Mother, Brother,
Beloved, Friend, Sister, Lover, Spouse. You name it and you have it. :)
Just bring HIM closer. It is hard for a child to share each and every thing with Father, Mother, even siblings. But it's very easy to share each and every inner most feeling with a friend. With a surety, that we won't be judged and abandoned because of our weakness. And this eternal friend of our's already knows each and every innermost things within us.
As a friend- no point in hiding anything from this best friend- when HE already knows everything. :)
HE sure doesn't judge us. And with a friend there is so many liberties. :) If we want to be angry, be angry with HIM, chide our BELOVED our friend. Whom else can we so safely chide anyways ?? Mortal men will not patiently put up with our anger, our mood swings. HE on the other hand.... is forever ...... just there for us.
Then there is one more closer still... a BELOVED. A romance. HE is the BELOVED. Whom else can this heart love ? HE is the most beautiful, the most sublime. There is no one else more beautiful then HIM. So HE is the husband , the BELOVED.
But as SWAMI VIVEKANAND ji says....
The true spiritual lover does not rest even there. Even the love of husband and wife is not mad enough for him. A Bhakta, takes up the idea of illegitimate love , because it is so strong. The nature of this love is such, that the more obstructions there are for it's free play, the more passionate it becomes. In the love of husband and wife there are no obstructions. So they take up a idea of a girl who is in love with her BELOVED and her mother, father or even her husband objects to such love. and the more they obstructs her love, the more her love grows in strength. Human language can't describe how KRISHNA in groves of Vrindavan was madly loved by Gopis. Who rushed out to meet HIM... forgetting everything, world and it's ties, duties, it's joys and sorrows. Man, O man , u speak of divine love and at the same time are able to attend to all the vanities of this world ? are u sincere ??
What can be more consuming then this ?? For such soul even to talk about other then HIM becomes distasteful. As it's said in sanskrit- Anyaa waacho wimunchaya. { Think of HIM, think of HIM alone, and give up all other vain words }
Just don't put HIM on a pedestal. HE is here near us, in human form, breathing in same air, walking on same earth, isn't HE ? HE is not here to be worshiped from afar. So we shud strive to bring HIM more closer. Not to put HIM somewhere above and worship HIM from below.
AND THAT'S ALL MEDITATION IS. TO AVAIL THE INVITATION OF RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM AND HIM ALONE... TO HAVE A CANDLE LIGHT DINNER WITH HIM..... AND HIM ALONE.... :)
To be mad in love and to overcome all the obstacles. To reach those ethereal realms, where we can be together. Walk or fly or have lunch dinner and tea together. Forever and ever.
