CHOICES-

Saints tells us that this life is just a dream. A prewritten play and we are merely acting out what is already written , so in a way, already happened. That our prarabdh this life’s destiny as well as what we will be , what our nature will be are already decided even before our body is decided. Even the hairs on our head, the breaths we are allotted and the morsels we eat are all predestined. So we actually don’t have much choices in our life which we can take on our own. If it’s written that we are supposed to take wrong decision we will take that. So if we really deeply think it over it will be sooo much more easier for us to remain in HIS will. As actually we don’t have any freedom or free will as such. For us walking on the path it’s relief to know that our destiny is in capable hands of our FATHER, our GOD.. though each soul’s destiny is in capable hands of one who is the sanchalak of this world and none has free will, but for us walking on spiritual path we atleast have this knowledge and our own acceptance. So do we have any choices? Actually none… but still as our ego demands us to function at some level, till we are apart in our mind..from HIM… we need to make some choices or act out as if we are making some choices.

We who are walking on this path that we so called “chose”, reminding ourselves that it was HIS calling to us that made us come on this path back to home where our soul actually belongs struggle thru so many choices. And yet often times failing. Once read this wonderful sentence- that when we take those vows necessary to walk on this path, we have no choice but to fulfill them if we want to reach back home. But doesn’t that tells as if we become slaves? And that make our mind revolt. But actually we have choice. If we think positively. Our GOD hasn’t asked us to become slaves. HE has asked to become lovers. As HE is the only true lover who actually loves us. Remaining in HIS will is so much easier if we feel that we are actually making this choice due to love for HIM and love makes everything so easy. This is called active participation in our destiny which HE has so lovingly written for us so that we can finally reach home to HIM. It’s not as if HE has become a dictator and we HIS slaves, with no choice but to follow HIM and feeling negatively ..oh it’s written and so we have to bear it any how… or we can choose it positively oh, my love my BELOVED has decided this so it’s best for me and it’s one step more nearer to HIM…to be finally able to merge in HIM.


It’s said that with every negativity on spiritual path the negative force feeds on our soul. Negative force being kaal who kept our soul imprisoned here in this world for centuries now. Now that we finally have our beloved calling on to us. We can always choose to be positive. This is our first choice that we can make. For HIM……

Then there is question of our vows. That we struggle so hard to keep. Why do we struggle. Coz some where deep inside our mind we feel that this has been forced on us. We don’t actually love those vows, in this world where senses are stimulated thru every media possible. It’s soo much more easier in satyug or dwapar. When they didn’t have so much mediums for sense gratifications. Here in our modern era we have simply tooo much telling our senses that we need this to become happy or lead easy life. It’s so hard to keep holding our selves back from each and every sense gratification.


Let’s for a moment think as those humans who never heard of this path. We have ourselves known love at some point of our life in any form. Be it love for our parents, a lover, brother or sister, or a friend whom we love to distraction. And then there are those love stories which appeals to our loving nature, or the craving of love inside us. And so we watch all those love stories like dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge, kal ho na ho, kuch kuch hota hai. And thus making them block busters. Coz in each human being there beats a heart which craves for such sacrificing and yearning kind of love who wants to win love at any cost, ready to sacrifice so much.

It appeals to our basic nature when we see a triangle in love story. Where one person silently sacrifice his or her love coz the person he or she loves is in deep love with some one else. Content to remain his or her friend in need, a shoulder to lean on. Or a lover leaving his or her home and traveling great distance just to win his or her’s parents approval with good behaviors and sacrifice so that he or she can finally marry the person he or she loves. The story involves some times years of sacrifice and patience. Of silent unacknowledged love. And yet we love those stories. Coz some how some where we crave for same kind of deep commitment. For such deep love that years apart can’t diminish or break.

This is the craving of our soul. And we actually has that kind of lover. Since the day our soul crying came to this world separated from our source our GOD and HE promised to call us back. While we forgot all about HIM as we took company of mind and senses, vaguely feeling an absence, since those eons of years HE never forgot us. And kept loving us. Finding any excuse to bring us back to call us back. Who knows HE actually grabbed first excuse available to call back many of souls. We never deserved this, as we were the one’s who forgot HIM.. not HIM. HE didn’t.

Now that we understood our craving our yearning of that kind of deep committed love is for our source and that source is waiting for us to reach back and merge in HIM.. we can actually choose to be positive about our commitment. Now is the time for actually living one of those love story. And be a part of that love. Experience that deep love and for that choosing to make any sacrifice required.

Now is our time to be a hero or heroine of that love story. Silently choosing to love deeply and wisely.

It won’t matter to HIM if we keep those vows lovingly or pressurized coz we want to taste that spiritual bliss that books tells us, is within us. But it would matter to us. If we choose those vows with love and positivity rather then feeling…oh I have to keep this vow since I promised. It would matter coz then it’s easier to keep those vows and take active participation. There won’t be a moments hesitation when we are called to choose between our vow or sense gratification. Not a single hesitation.

All we have to do is to feel HIS love and then for that love prepare ourselves for any sacrifice demanded. All we have to do is to choose between our love , the little love we feel for HIM bestowed on us by HIM, and rest of the world. And I believe that feeling of even a little love for HIM will always out weigh the rest of the world.


Making active choice to keep those vows, telling ourselves --- I choose to keep those vows. Will help us tremendously with so much postivity that all our energy will feel charged with love to never hamper our choices. Coz that’s how we are made. We can do anything for the choices we make. And go to any length.

So now when we are prepared to make those choices actively it won’t be hard at all to keep those vows.

To choose our vow of never taking any non-veg or alcohol, we become more conscious more vigilant. When it comes to choose between places where non-veg is also served, restaurants where drinks are also served, friends who make or prepare non- veg dishes , using utensils in which non-veg is cooked or simple eating of fruits and dairy products. We will never hesitate to even leave that thing which hampers our vows. There will be no question of choice ..coz where ever our vow is hampered there choice doesn’t exists….

When it comes to ethical earning of our livelihood there will never be a question of choice between..taking unethical money to fulfill the desire of better car, better television or another house or plot, or not having such desires which asks us to go for unethical money. Coz we choose to follow and fulfill our vow.

When it come to the choice of moral living , there won’t ever be question of choice. Or hesitation. Coz we know that true love we already have. In this world there is nothing that can ever compare or come at par to that love. HIS love. For those who have once tried to find this love and failing they won’t ever want to try here again. Coz they already know the futility. Those living with a partner and yet feeling deep loneliness already knows that this loneliness is to be cherished as it will take the soul more closer to HIM…choosing consciously to find that everlasting love and merging in this love will never let the question of moral living arise.

And last and not the least choosing to remain in memory or remembrance of HIS love contemplating in lover’s form , choosing to remain in loved one’s company is something which every lover knows how to do or rather is the only thing which a lover wants to do. We all know how beautiful it is to live even in the memory of person whom we love. Remaining alone in solitude and going thru loved one’s memory again and again and again… is some thing every lover knows how to do or what pleasure this can bring or yearning it can bring to be near our loved one again. If we can just change this pleasure and this yearning for one true love…all our wanderings in search for that elusive happiness is over. Coz with each day…with our little shaky efforts to be near HIM to feel that pleasure for HIM or yearning for HIM…we actually come near HIM… though we may not know it now. One day we will….

So now is the time for being that hero or heroine in that love story of that movie which we once loved which told us the years of patient waiting for loved one. For sacrifices made for loved one. Even without ever hope for belonging to that loved one yet going on loving and loving and loving. To become that heer or ranjha, laila or majnu , shiri or farhaad , romeo or Juliet or even raaj or simran…

That is all meditation is. That is all those hours means. Sitting in the dark. Waiting for lover to appear, sometimes feeling HIS presence feeding thru little memory HE choose to bestow on us. Some times bringing pleasure sitting in that dark room and some time bringing deep yearning to once just once see HIS beloved face. And some times feeling even HIS apparent “bedardi” as nothing happens. That is all meditation is…our time to live that love story. Only the reward is faaar greater and certain… as there is no failure in this love story and no sad ending.

LOVING HIM :)

Many times this question arises in the mind of spiritual seekers, how best to love GOD..or beloved? Though who are we to love HIM. for HE is the lover who lits the fire in the heart of whom HE seeks…to love.

Came across a very interesting theory of TAO…so sharing here…in my own words. So I beg forgiveness for any mistake commited…

Philosophical thinkers tells us that inside every male there is a female side and inside every female there is a male sides… so brush up ur female sides. And in any case soul is considered as female lover and GOD male…soul is considered married when she is merged with her husband- PARAMATMA..

Here is how a soul can learn to merge in her beloved and find eternal love according to Tao theory..

RECEPTIVITY- females are considered receptive. They are empty inside waiting to be filled. Females takes while males are givers..They are like a hole waiting to be filled.
GOD is a giver. HE is constantly giving only soul is not yet receptive enough. Become like a female who is waiting constantly to receive what ever GOD chooses to bestow.

WAITING- when a female loves she waits without becoming aggresive. She constantly and lovingly waits for some one she loves. She won’t argue. she will just wait…
When the soul is a seeker of that eternal truth, becoming immersed in arguments with GOD…constantly trying to out judge HIM about ur own progress and arguing over why u r worthy to receive HIS love…instead be like a female. Waiting lovingly for beloved to bestow HIS love. Humble and waiting….like a lover waiting on the door for beloved to arrive. Yearning yet loving. Imagine a nagging wife who is waiting for husband to reach home while he is being late. No…that won’t do with our BELOVED… be like a heer who is waiting yearningly for her ranjha to arrive…
Completely finish urself, let not a single line remain and then there is no limit to ur winnings…

LOOSING- Laotse says when a man thinks about woman he thinks with the emotion of winning her. How to win her love. While when a woman thinks about a man she thinks with wanting to loose herself.. how to be wined over by him, her man. She takes pleasure in loosing not winning. To win HIS love a soul has to learn to loose herself. And HIS love is her’s . it’s the art of loosing that wins the heart of beloved.

TIME- for a man loving comes last. He considers other works more important. He feels that finishing those works..his job, his meetings his projects.. those comes first. Now this is universal truth and every woman can vote for this. Males thinks that if time permits after doing all these important jobs, then he can indulge in love. But females they consider loving their top most priority, everything else is secondry. Their only complain from their partner is lack of time for being with each other. While GOD the eternal beloved loves time given to HIM.. spent in HIS company and remembrance. Male when they love someone even then their eyes seeks other beauty, while female once love a male will never think of looking at anything. Females are then considered possessive. And yet this is what HE asks for. Complete possessiveness. Complete devotion with exclution of every other thought.
So be like a female ..and love HIM with complete possessiveness and devotion. Giving HIM all the time… and HE will never say like all those males when they are faced with this possessiveness or demand for time and their attention…that I can not always remain with u.. no..instead GOD will love the soul only for this more and more…
Ohh!! What a relief.. for females can now have the one true lover they always seek,…. :)
There is a wonderful quote- “love becomes complete when the prayer becomes saturated with love. And for this time is needed.”

SILENCE- if we see two lovers together, we will find males talking much and female listening contentedly. [we are not talking about married couple][ that’s a joke]
A female lover loves to listen to her lover talking . though she can talk so much which man comes to know after marriage. But a lover knows how to remain silent. She loves his voice. And they remain silent… silence is one thing where the soul can hear her beloved’s call.
There is a quote—“there are only very few soul’s who are fortunate enough to know how to be still enuf to hear GOD talk."
We all know that merging in GOD we need to practice silence. To let go our ego which generates thoughts. And never let us hear HIS voice. For HE will speak when we are ready to hear HIM.. not before. So be like that “ preyasi” who loves to hear her lover talk. And sit silently to hear his voice.

BECOME A SLAVE [ SURRENDER] - females call themselves “ daasi” and actually becomes the queen of lover’s heart becoz of her surrender. She completely surrender herself to her lover. All he says and do is right. She has no will or need of her own. She is happy with what ever her lover thinks and do for her. In fact she waits very patiently and lovingly for her lover to come up with a surprise to make her happy. And with such a lover her beloved wants to surprise her just to see har face lit up with happiness coz he knows whatever he will do for his lover..she will be filled with loving pleasure.
Imagine the soul’s beloved arrested in her love so much that to see her happy the beloved can go to any length. Imagine that wonderful stage of love. And that can come thru complete surrender coz when the soul will always feel pleasure in what ever her beloved chooses to bestow..the beloved feels compelled to see her happy. In fact HE still is waiting desperately to make HIS beloved" us” happy…only we never learn to surrender our own definition of what can make us happy. A true lover always knows instinctively what will make his beloved flush with happiness. And who else can be called true lover then HIM???
Females never feel small in surrendering their own self to the one they love. Be it husband or kids. They can make sacrifices for her loved ones happiness. And so learn from females to happily make sacrifices for beloved. “No price is too big to win HIS love”.

NO DISTINCTION[ ABHED] –
“ niyaaze ishq k eek aise bhi manzil hai,
jaha hai shukar shikayat kisi ko kya maloom.”
Prayer is demand or thanks. Don’t make ur love a prayer. Coz it is filled with either demand or thanks for things bestowed by beloved. Thanks becomes a formality. Which says…yes u have given me a lott. But tells that it is not accepted by heart and mind.
There is a wonderful story.
When Keshavchand became disciple of Ramchandra and started walking on spiritual path. One day Ramchandra asked him” how do u pray to GOD? What is ur method. Keshavchand replied I say thanks to GOD for giving me this path which I never deserved. Ramchandra became disappointed. And said these words..” u say thanks to GOD!!!! ?? if HE hasn’t given u eyes wud u then have said thanks? No u wudn’t have. Whatever GOD has given to u for which u say thanks . had HE not given to u then to whom u wud have said thanks??”

Saying thanks is also a way of complain. It’s enough that u r in front of HIM.. first stop demanding. For what do u say thanks? Everything is HIS so who are u to say thanks? If one hand gets hurt and other hand puts medicine ..will one hand give thanks to other? For taking care of it? Both are same ..so where are thanks here? Soul is just a drop of same ocean. When soul thinks with her ego she becomes separate when actually only HE is everywhere. There is no division.who says thanks to whom?
When love becomes deeper..lovers become one, merges in each other. GOD and soul becomes one. There is left not enuf space to distinct them from each other…
“ I am HE”
then there is not even space left to say thanks.

COMMITMENT- When a female loves she starts thinking about getting married while males start thinking about how best to avoid commitment. Loving HIM needs the commitment of female. As soul prepares herself to get married to her beloved and ways to woo HIM to make that commitment to become one. Become like that female who is constantly thinking of nothing else but how to make beloved commit HIS love for herself..only..for all eternity. Coz earthly relation may skip or break commitment. But HE if makes a commitment of love..it is for all eternity. HIS love is our’s for all eternity. Oh what a relief. :)

In the end here is a quote from one of our MASTER—
When man and woman starts walking the path in the beginning woman gets success more easily. Becoz they know how to love and love deeply. So they become successful. But after some time man gains more on path becoz they know how to stick to commitment while woman’s attention gets scattered with many attachment she carries.

These are not actual words. But meaning is safe.

A woman becomes wife and mother and daughter … and divides herself in many attachment , to nourish each relation. But man can stay at a time attached to one only.

So it’s for the soul to decide where to become a female and when to take up male tendencies….
Females out there wanting to walk the path brush up ur female tendencies, and males out there walking on the path take out the female side sleeping inside u.
Biggest example we can find is the great lover and mystic Bullehshah. Who for beloved became such a lover that HE wasn't afraid of HIS own female side. Infact HE was complete lover.
coz no price is too high and no way is too big to win HIS love.....

Lovers and Love

"Love". Everyone is fimiliar with this word. Some believe in it some don't. But as manmukh humans we try to find this phenomena in this world. Some succeeding, while some failing. And yet those who succeed find themselves alone at some point of relationship. And this Saints tells us is the lonliness of soul looking for that one true love.. the creator. This lonliness is indication of the soul telling mind that it needs to go back. It's not happy here. Mind as usual trying to find pleasure and happiness in this world according to the dictates of senses , keeps ignoring the indications. And keep trying to find that one love in this world of maya.

Untill one fine day some lucky ones meet the perfect MASTER. :) And their search for love is over. If they can just understand this. That search is over. Many still never realise this. But many do with HIS love and grace. :)

We are not capable of loving HIM. It's HIS love which pulls us, and we think we love HIM.. In fact it's HE who is loving us, and pulling us back home. So today i sat down and thought about lovers... or so called lovers of MASTER, when in fact every where HE himself is the lover loving HIMSELF thru us. Still in my human mind the thought arise and with my limited human capabilities i picked out three kind of lovers... or the soul in love..or the human beings initiated by perfect MASTER starting or walking on the path of one true love that leads the soul to it's royal palace, a place of love, peace and bliss. :)

We all at some point of time have experienced love, and are aware of the high and low feelings love can bring. New love - u want to stand on the roof top and shout so that whole world can hear u are in love. The bubbly kind of new love starting , new feelings, new happiness. And that's how the first kind of lovers are. They are those who can't stop talking about their own feelings. Any thing new and they want to shout it out. " ishq de naviyo navi bahar"[ the new happiness of love].
These types of lovers are on first stage of love and are unable to digest any thing. But the love is not deep down absorbed yet. Attention is still wondering in the world. It's like putting feets in two boats. One is the love of world and senses and the other is love of path. The feeling of attainable goal of the world beyond imagination, that MASTER has promised. Yet not commited completely. Believing perhaps that the day they will really set their mind to achieve this goal, they will achieve it easily. difficulties they read are for others. Their love is strong enuf to overcome and they can achieve. Till then their mind is still pulled towards the happiness this world can perhaps still offer. :)

second kind of lovers are silent one. They have crossed the naviyo navi bahar stage. They have travelled and know how hard it is to seek beloved inside. They have the look of yearning lovers. Who have lost interest in this world, and yet are unable to hold beloved within. They are now silent. Coz no word can explain what they are feeling. They are sometimes at peace and sometimes in agony. They are preparing for union. coz they now know the seperation. :)
ofcourse to reach this stage u are meditating and finding hard to hold on to that stillness which can bring beloved in focus. So to reach here meditation.... as usual is must. :)

Then there are third kind. Fortunately for this little soul she has seen these one's too. She has seen the look that she is now describing ...on their beloved faces. These are completely silent. They don't ever utter single unnecessary word, and yet their whole body speaks. :)
On their face is undescribable peace. Their eyes have a look as if they are constantly beholding the" Beloved's face". They are with beloved and beloved is their constant companion. Their face holds a loving smile. As if all they can see is beloved. They have this dreamy look as if they are somewhere else. Only body is performing the karmas... their soul is completely with ...HIM.. :)
"Apne chehre ka noor he bus tum le jaoge." U'll only take with u the light of ur face...
Their faces have that light. :) Yes...they are the one's with successful meditation behind them. They have well travelled the road and reached the destination. They have made sure their human birth is not wasted. They have achieved love..and they are ..... lovers... :)

Ofcourse their are those too who gets initiation from perfect MASTER and forget about one promise they made..finding every excuse available for not being able to sit. But then they forget that if they won't start walking on the road.. they won't reach destination..not in this life. To go thru and reach to the third kind of lover's stage... we are suppose to start travelling. And believe me the third kind of lovers faces says all... makes u want to rush and reach there. To have that Noor on our own face...that contentment and peace ....in our soul..and that loving gaze..which seems to be continuosly beholding the face of beloved, HIS loving gaze. That look in eyes..says all. It's to be experienced . not just keep reading but reaching there and taste that bliss reflected on those faces. Just to be able to taste that once, to have that love and light on ur own soul...reflected on ur own face... For just once....
Give me the pain of ur love,
nothing but the pain of ur love,
and i'll gladly give anything in return.

So travellers...start travelling and travel well... For who knows when beloved will show mercy and reveal HIMSELF to us...Be sure to be waiting for that moment...And not waste it while sleeping or finding excuses. Coz love after all is the only thing worth having ....And that too of......HIS love.. :)

LIP SERVICE----

What kind of spiritual path followers we are? What kind of ? we are those fortunate once who knows how to behave and who have the guidance of good behavior. So do we follow those guidelines?
Being new on the path it fascinated me to see fellow travellers behaving in one set way, speaking in a set way. It was gentle, humble and calm way. And I used to feel the need to be one of those calm, humble and gentle people. Gradually I tried to find the depth of reality of that behavior. And what good place to start then your own heart.
Our MASTER tells us that if a child doesn’t behave properly the blame goes to upbringing of parents. And so HIS follower we shud behave in a way that people feels the need to ask…who is your FATHER?
And so we religiously try to behave properly. But what if one day we stop and realize that it was merely a lip service? Lip service- said from lips but not actually implemented or believed by heart.
Some of very set words that we all speak- do we really follow them? We say – every thing is HIS will , but then we forget this as soon as we try to make some major decision in our life. Business dealings, job change, place change, home change school change for kids…any decision we take we are sometimes far apart from this fact that every thing is predestined. We are just playing out a pre written drama. And here we forget the words we use while speaking to other fellow travellers—every thing is HIS will. But yes, we do remember it when some thing wrong happens in our life and we need an explanation. Then we realize it’s HIS will and we can comfortably put the blame on HIM…
We always use sentences like …we are nothing..we don’t exist only HE exists. Yet this is what we forget most of the time. If we really don’t exist then so doesn’t our ego. The same ego which keeps us functioning in this world and thus keeps us away from HIM…reaching HIM inside. So how can we use these sentences? We exist…and till we exist we don’t reach HIM, and till we don’t reach HIM are we not being hypocrites when we say- we don’t exist? Why do we use these sentences when we know they are still far from reality? We bow down and humbly welcome anyone at our home or when we meet we greet each other …and yet our heart and mind is busy finding fault and judging the same person whom we are greeting?
We have been so many times told by our GUIDE and MASTER to be humble and yet do we actually follow HIM? From deep down our heart? Once I read a very interesting quote. Here it is…
“Humility, then, is not a matter of beating ourselves up. It is not a question of judging ourselves as stupid or sinful, as hopeless and bad. Who are we to judge these things? Humility, is the gentle acceptance of that most tender place inside ourselves that throbs with the pain of separation from the Beloved. It is that deep knowingness that identification with the false self brings nothing but further separation. It is an initially reluctant dropping down into the emptiness and an ultimate experience of peace when we stop doing and rediscover simple being. It is the Sabbath of the soul when we heed the call to cease creating and remember that we are created. "

our mind gathers information. Reading all those books our MASTER lovingly provided us and listening to HIS satsangs..HIS words. Watching HIM behave in life. And we aspire to become the same that HE set an example to or asks us to do. Yet our heart remains the same. Behaving in predictable human ways. It's like gaining knowledge and not really letting it sink in.
We believe ourselves to have surrendered all to our MASTER and we believe ourselves that we are living in HIS will. And yet our heart complains of so many things. I should have more money , earning it should be easy enuf for me to find time for meditation. And yet the life is so miserably hectic I can’t find time for one thing and that is meditation. Can we really find guts enuf to really surrender? HE says all ur worries are ur MASTER’s worries and ur cares are HIS. So give it all to HIM, and u be carefree enuf to just do one thing. Meditation… and we don’t have that guts. We are indispensable. Our life and responsibilities, our job and house work will all fall apart if we don’t keep an eye or lend a hand. We don’t have that guts to really surrender all. How can we then remainwhat we know our self to be???—a big ego???
Something didn’t happen according to our carefully laid plan…and we loose even that amount of surrender that we believe our self to have made to our MASTER… so do we actually qualify to use these remarks? As a genuine spiritual path traveller?
Living in HIS will means complete surrender of ego…and we can count those in fingers who can actually boast of having lost ego. Not all of us can. And then saying things like this becomes hypocrisy. Living in HIS will also means, actively participating. Not just saying it’s HIS will when misfortunes fall upon us. But actually rejoicing in HIS any kind of gift. Be it fortune or misfortune.
Can we actually leave everything in HIS capable hands and just do one thing with our life? Meditation? we meet each other and ask are u doing it? it's so hard to sit , it's so hard to find time. And we comfort ourself from the knowledge that others are incapable too. We are not the only one neglecting most important part of our life. Instead we shud all gather up and encourage each other. go on do it...it's the only thing worth doing in life. For HE can take care of everything else.
so next time before we use any such hypocratical sentence , boosting our ego..that over inflated part of our existence...and believe ourself to be geniuinly good follower...we shoul ask ourself is it true??? or are we just misleading ourself to be a good follower. yes, we should behave as our MASTER asked us to do...but then it should be from bottom of our heart. and this can only come via one way. as our MASTER promised us. that if we meditate we will ourself find changes in us. from milk butter will come up automatically... and good qualities inside us will come up automatically. only then we can call ourself ..."Honest".
Spirituality is a way of life. Not merely in thoughts. It is a reflection of qualities that GOD admire most. And we can fool ourself but we can never fool HIM.. HE knows how much we are faking.
